H1N1 (Swine) Influenza Updates

H1N1 VirusH1N1 (Swine) Influenza viruses aren't the same as human Influenza viruses. H1N1 (Swine) Influenza doesn't often infect people, and the rare human cases that have occurred in the past have mainly affected people who had direct contact with pigs. However, the current H1N1 (Swine) Influenza outbreak is different. It's caused by a new Swine Influenza virus that has spread from person to person -- and it's happening among people who haven't had any contact with pigs.

The nature of this (Swine) Influenza H1N1 virus has directed the City of Marshall to take the greatest concern for the welfare of our citizens. Thus, we will be providing updates on outbreaks, area occurences, and other information deemed necessary for public awareness. For further information on improving the safety of your family, friends, neighbors and well being - click one of our links below and check back regularly for updates.
